Meredith DiPaolo Stephens is an American actor, director, writer, and educator, born in Illinois and now based in Glasgow and London with an additional base in North Carolina.
Previously assistant managing director of the North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, managing and producing artistic director of Shared Radiance Theatre, and founding managing and artistic director of Goodly Frame Theatre, Meredith is currently focusing on audiobook narration as well as acting and writing for stage and screen. Training: MFA Acting Classical and Contemporary Text, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Acting credits include several roles in her own adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth called To Be Thus (RCS), several roles in Caryl Churchills's The After-Dinner Joke (RCS), the one-woman radio drama Sparrow (RCS), Grumio/Biondella in The Taming of the Shrew (RCS), Lucio in Measure for Measure (Shakespeare's Globe Education/RCS), Banquo in Macbeth (Studio 1) Philanthropist/Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol: Pedro's Legacy (GFT), Janis Curtis in Hands on a Hardbody (GTCC Theatre), Venus in Dido, Queen of Carthage (TSMGO), Sarah in The Malone Family in the Enchanted Forest (Clint Festa), Antonio in The Merchant of Venice (TSMGO), Carol in Season's Screenings (Spring Theatre), Duchess of Gloucester in Richard II (TSMGO), Chancellor Whitemarsh in Lock-In (Spring Theatre), Ebenezer Scrooge in An Old Salem Christmas Carol (Little Theatre of Winston Salem), Banquo in Macbeth (Andy Griffith Playhouse), Feste in Twelfth Night (Shared Radiance Theatre), and Titania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shared Radiance Theatre).
